Vera Chierico

The year was 1973. Backstage in a Rome theatre, a dancer made a painful decision. Having
trained with the Royal Academy of Dance for 12 years and performed professionally for
another 10 years in over twenty countries, Vera Chierico felt her present lifestyle could not
glorify Yeshua (Jesus). So, she gave up her dancing career.
However, 12 years later in New York, married with three children, Vera was invited to join a
Messianic group "Dancers of the New Jerusalem" and performed all over the USA for 4
years.  The Chierico family then moved to England where Vera visited an osteopath, to get
treatment. After moving to England, she co-founded the "New Jerusalem Dancers" (NJD), a
group teaching Davidic Dance as a biblical form of worship. Vera now co-leads the ICDF
Messianic Dance Network and resides in the UK.
WORKSHOP: Messianic Israeli Dance and Tambourine
After a brief ‘dance etiquette’ introduction (linked exclusively to circle dancing) I will introduce
the very effective ‘interchangeable’ circle dance system then begin with a couple of simple
warm up dances.
After this I will teach a couple of Israeli dances in which a tambourine can be introduced.
Scriptures will be read/given before each dance since most of my music includes pure
Scripture, mostly from the Psalms.
